Vietnamese Automaker Shows Off Specs For New EVs At CES

VinFast, a Vietnamese EV automaker that is setting up a U.S. sales operation, has announced the specifications for its new all-electric crossover models: the VF-6 and VF-7.

The VF-6 has a driving range of 300 miles on a single charge and can reach a top speed of 120 mph, with a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 6 seconds. The VF-7 has a range of 250 miles per charge, a top speed of 140 mph, and a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 4.5 seconds.

The specs were unveiled at 2023 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

“We are thrilled to unveil the VF-6 and VF-7, which represent a major step forward in the development of electric vehicles,” said CEO of VinFast, James DeLuca. “With their advanced technology and impressive performance, we believe these models will appeal to a wide range of consumers and help drive the adoption of electric vehicles.”

Both models come equipped with a range of driver assistance technologies, including adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. They are set to go on sale in Vietnam later this year, with plans for international expansion in the near future.
