As this is written the power is finally coming back online for many in Houston after more than two million were left without electricity at one point as Hurricane Beryl walloped the Bayou City.
With that in mind, this week’s episode of EV Rider is taking a look at how electric vehicles can be helpful during and after a storm passes.
Thanks to their huge batteries EVs they can act as backup power supplies and since they can be run inside a garage without worrying about carbon monoxide they can also serve as a place to escape the heat, running the EV’s A/C for days at a time.
