EV Rider strives for accuracy and fairness in all of its reporting.
The views expressed by EV Rider are independent of any advertiser or product that may appear on this website or the EV Rider YouTube channel, unless as otherwise noted in the Advertorials or Paid Promotions section of this page.
If any product is submitted by a business for review to EV Rider, it will be clearly noted in the story or video that mentions the product.

Any business that wishes to submit a product to EV Rider for review is welcome to do so but EV Rider will maintain its editorial independence, and receiving a product does not guarantee a review, unless a review is agreed to in advance of receiving the product.
Unless agreed to in advance, products or materials sent to EV Rider will not be returned.
If a product is accepted for review EV Rider will not provide advance stories, videos or scripts to any provider for approval, nor will it make any adjustments to stories or videos after publication, unless the story or video contains a mistake or inaccuracy.
For any product that is reviewed, the outcome of the review – whether favorable or not – is at the sole discretion of EV Rider.
Advertorials
EV Rider will always clearly mark any article or video that has been paid for by an advertiser. If a story or video has been designated as an advertorial it means the advertiser did have an editorial say in the video or story. EV Rider vets advertorials for accuracy and will not knowingly agree to publish an advertorial that is deceptive or inaccurate.
Paid Promotions
EV Rider clearly marks any video with a paid sponsorship with the words “Includes Paid Promotion.” In most cases the sponsorship is independent of the video’s editorial content. If the sponsor is given any say in the video’s editorial content that will also be clearly indicated with the word “advertorial,” in addition to “paid promotion.”
Road Tests & Other Vehicle Reviews
EV Rider regularly provides road tests of automobiles and motorcycles. Some of those vehicles are provided by owners while others may come from a dealer or directly from a manufacturer via media fleet cars, which are often handled by third parties.
Although manufacturers occasionally provide vehicles through their representatives, they do not have any editorial input into written or video road tests unless otherwise clearly noted in a story or video. Nor do they see an advance copy of the story or video.
EV Rider takes safety seriously when testing vehicles and does not condone or take part in unsafe or illegal driving practices such as burnouts, drifting, wheelies, excessive speed or other potentially dangerous maneuvers on public streets, unless a sudden manuever is needed to avoid a potential accident.
Instead, EV Rider will quote other news sources for items such as skidpad results, unless the vehicle is being tested on a private facility such as a racetrack or dragstrip with permission from the facility’s owner.
Advertising Links Disclosure
As an Amazon, Awin (formerly ShareASale) & Walmart affiliate associate, EV Rider may earn commissions from qualifying purchases from product links that may appear on this website.
AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Any EV Rider story that uses AI to write or gather information will be clearly noted in the story’s byline. Any story compiled with AI is still manually checked and edited for accuracy. On the EV Rider YouTube channel, if there is ever an occasion to use deep fake technology or realistic AI-generated synthetic media, it will be clearly noted with an Altered Content note or description specifying it is AI-generated video.
Redistribution & Copyright
Original stories, videos and photos that appear on EV Rider are not allowed to be copied or re-edited for redistribution – unless approved by EV Rider – since it would violate EV Rider’s copyright protection and potentially the copyrights of other material contained within some EV Rider media.
All original EV Rider material is copyrighted. Other media organizations are welcome to use EV Rider RSS feeds or use YouTube embed code. If using RSS or crawling EV Rider for a search engine, AI summaries or other digital retransmission, do not exceed the first 75 words of a story, post or video and link back to the source material. Using quotes from a story or video with attribution is also welcome, as long as Associated Press journalistic standards are applied.
Any other use, such as copying or rewriting or reediting files, words, photos or videos is forbidden unless usage permission is obtained.
Violation Penalties
No derogatory use of EV Rider material, such as on a hate-filled or pornographic website, is allowed. EV Rider reserves the right to demand payment at a value it deems appropriate for any material used without its written permission that violates any guidelines on this webpage and/or demand any of its content be removed from other websites or digital platforms if in its view any of its policies are violated.
