EV Rider is expanding to YouTube VR in addition to launching on Meta Quest TV. It’s a new, more immersive way to experience your favorite EV cars, motorcycles and more.
Meta Quest TV episodes are being produced with the maximum supported resolution, so these videos are crystal clear in a way not possible with older generations of VR headsets.
On YouTube VR you’ll find 4K 3D episodes along with occasional 360-degree episodes or clips. Except for archived video, 360-degree episodes or clips are being producted in 8K to ensure high quality resolution when entering immersive mode on either Meta Quest TV or YouTube VR.
How To Watch Immersive Videos
If you have a Meta Quest VR headset download the YouTube VR app from your VR device’s app store, then search “EV Rider channel” or click this link. At last check YouTube VR didn’t support copy/paste but if you want to give it a try, here’s the EV Rider YouTube VR 3D playlist link and 360-degree playlist link.
If you have an Apple Vision Pro download the Moon Player, then open YouTube via the Moon Player and search “EV Rider channel.” Watch the brief video below for more detailed instructions.
You can also enjoy an immersive experience with augmented reality (AR) glasses like those from XREAL, RAYNEO, TCL and others.

Tips For Best Quality Experience
A quick tip for anyone rushing over to Meta Quest TV to check out the immersive episodes: make sure you select “best” in the resolution settings since Meta tends to really dial back the quality to conserve bandwidth with the automatic setting.
The same is true with YouTube VR. Make sure you always select the highest resolution, otherwise the video may appear subpar, especially with fully immersive 360-degree episodes or clips. Immersive videos will always be at least 2160p, and sometimes higher.
If you don’t have a VR headset yet, you can also watch the 3D episodes with the paper or plastic 3D glasses we all remember from movie theaters.
If you don’t already have a dusty pair sitting around the house, they can be purchased for as little as under $10. Here’s a link.
Please do me a solid and spread the word about EV Rider expanding to VR.
EV Rider VR On Apple Vision Pro
Fellow YouTuber Hugh Ho has put together a good, quick demo of how to watch 3D YouTube VR videos via the Moon Player on the Apple Vision Pro.
If you don’t care about AR, VR, 3D, 180 or 360, don’t worry. All EV Rider episodes will also continue to air on regular YouTube and here on evrider.tv. The regular EV Rider YouTube channel and evrider.tv website will still be my primary focus but VR opens a new opportunity to present some existing and future episodes in a more expansive way.
