Electric motorcycle pioneer Terry Hershner is at it again, making another cross country trip. But this time he’s traveling in his 2022 Ford E-Transit.
On this bonus episode of EV Rider, Terry discusses traveling the country in his E-Transit, along with the challenges of nursing along a first generation Leaf in the blazing summer heat.
Perhaps most interesting to fans of electric motorcycles, Terry also talks about the challenges that Zero and other EV motorcycle makers face in making CCS work well over repeated same-day charges.

Terry is best known in the EV community for becoming the first person to successfully ride an electric motorcycle from coast to coast. Back in 2013 Terry traveled on his heavily modified Zero ZF9 from a pier in San Diego to the Jacksonville Beach Pier.
In an upcoming episode EV Rider will take a look back at that trip with Terry to help celebrate the $11.6 million restoration of the Jacksonville Beach Pier.
