Curtiss Motorcycles has been reincarnated as an electric heritage brand, building on the legacy left by Glenn Curtiss, who set a motorcycle land speed record in 1906 in Ormond Beach, FL with his V-8 powered bike.

In addition to founding Curtiss Motorcycles, Curtiss would go on to become a founder of the U.S. aircraft industry. Now Curtiss Motorcycles has been reborn with Matt Chambers at the helm as Chairman and CEO.

Chambers, a former lawyer from Louisiana, is perhaps best known for his former Confederate Motorcycles company, which is known in the U.S. today as Combat Motors.

Now Chambers is leading the charge in building an ultra-lux motorcycle for the zero-emission era with the launch of The 1 EV via the reconstituted Curtiss Motorcycles.

With a starting price of about $120,000, the 21st century Curtiss is designed to be a motorcycle that can be passed down for generations and upgraded as technology improves.
